The Board of Education, in recognition of a need to overcome behavioral/health problems which may be affecting job performance, hereby establishes for all its employees a referral and counseling program designed to secure appropriate treatment and rehabilitation. In accordance with this policy, any employee suffering from one or more of these conditions will be given the same consideration and offer of assistance presently extended to employees having any other illness. Such assistance shall be rendered with due attention to the employee's dignity and right of privacy, and such referral and treatment shall be confidential.
