BE IT RESOLVED that, the Board of Education hereby creates one 1.0 FTE Associate Coach for Varsity Basketball position at a rating of 72 points as per the supplemental memorandum of agreement between the district and the Chappaqua Congress of Teachers. This action results in the creation of a 1.0 FTE Associate Coach for Varsity Basketball at Horace Greeley High School, effective for the 2016/2017 school year. A copy of said agreement shall be incorporated by reference into the minutes of this meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education Approves the Agreement with Rebecca School, effective September 12, 2016 through June 23, 2017 for educational services at a rate of $98,208 per year, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

5.3

WHEREAS, zSpace, Inc., ("zSpace") is and will continue to be, a sole source vendor of zSpace Virtual Reality Education Solutions products. These items are proprietary products that are only available through zSpace located at 490 De Guigne Drive, Suite 200, Sunnyvale, CA 94085; and

WHEREAS, zSpace Virtual Reality Education Solutions is a unique technology that provides a 3D learning experience and is not available from any other vendor; and

WHEREAS, the 3D educational software is available at a reasonable cost from zSpace.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby declares zSpace to be the sole source for all zSpace virtual Reality Education Solutions products purchased in the ordinary course of product acquisition and therefore, determines that the purchase of the above-referenced 3D software is not subject to competitive bidding under Section 103 of the General Municipal Law.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education authorizes the transfer of the following reserve fund to the General Fund as specified in the approved 2016-17 budget:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approve a contract with Westchester Community Opportunity Program, Inc. (WESTCOP) for Mt. Kisco Head Start Program, located at Douglas Grafflin Elementary School effective 09/01/2016 to 06/30/2017 per the attached prices, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby ratifies the execution by the Board President and Superintendent of Schools of the Implementation Certification Form for its Annual Professional Performance Review for classroom teachers and building principals covered pursuant to Education Law Section 3012-c and Part 30-2 of the Rules of the Board of Regents.

WHEREAS, the District owns the attached list of items which are no longer useful or necessary for school district purposes and of no value to the School District;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board hereby declares such items to be surplus property and of no value to the School District and authorizes the disposal of such equipment in a prudent manner in accordance with law.

5.8

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the Contract with Delia Coppola for literacy consultation work with Grades K-4 for the 2016-17 school year in the amount of $30,000, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the Contract with EduChange, Inc. for literacy consultation work with Grades 9-12 for the 2016-17 school year in the amount of $19,800.00, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the Contract with Michael Rettig of School Scheduling Associates for scheduling consultation work for Middle School and High School for the 2016-17 school year in the amount of $14,000, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the Contract with Rubicon Inc. for renewal of the Atlas Curriculum Management System - Software Licensing Agreement - for the 2016-17 school year in the amount of $8,500, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the Contract with Learner Centered Initiatives (LCI) for Professional Development Program Plan work with administrators and K-12 teachers for the 2016-17 school year in the amount of $62,025, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves Contract Amendment #1a with Fielding Nair International (FNI) for Horace Greeley High School - Integrated Campus Plan Implementation: Part 2 - "L" Building and Library Transformation to a GLC model, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves Contract Amendment #1b with Fielding Nair International (FNI) for Pilot Projects for the CCSD Schools - Library Transformation to a GLC model at Roaring Brook, Douglas Grafflin and Westorchard Elementary Schools and New STEAM Labs at Robert Bell and Seven Bridges Middle Schools, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves Contract Amendment #1c with Fielding Nair International (FNI) for Horace Greeley High School - STEAM Learning Center, and authorizes the Board President to execute this agreement.

President Gardner, as a member of the Policy Committee, stated that the committee is currently working on a draft policy regarding AIS (Academic Intervention Services) in compliance with a new regulation from the NYS Board of Regents.

Moved by Warren Messner, seconded by Victoria Tipp, that the Board of Education approves Item 8.1 through Item 8.4, in one omnibus motion, as presented. Motion carried 3-0.

Communications

Board President, Alyson Gardner, as a member of the Communications Committee, shared that we look towards the day when paper will be even more minimized in the future and welcome input from the community.

Dr. McKay commented that the District has put forward two priorities for this coming year - social emotional and physical safety and active learning. Dr. McKay stated that the District understands the profound effect the theatre incident has had on the community, educators, families, Board of Education and students. She shared that the District will continue to hold small group meetings throughout the year and welcomes anyone from the community to give their input.
