President Tipp convened the public meeting at 5:02 pm.

Moved by Warren Messner to convene the public board meeting at 5:02 pm. Seconded by Victoria Tipp. Motion carried 3-0. Board Members Jeffrey Mester and Alyson Gardner were not present.

Recommended Action: Personnel

Dr. Christine Ackerman made the following recommendation:

Instructional

Appointment: Probationary

  • Ms. Ann DeFazio, Teacher of Science, Horace Greeley High School, to a probationary appointment in the tenure area of Science effective October 30, 2017 through October 29, 2021, subject to receipt of composite or overall annual professional performance review ratings pursuant to Education law Section 3012-c and/or 3012-d of either effective or highly effective in at least three (3) of the four (4) proceeding years, and if the probationer receives an ineffective composite or overall rating in the final year of the probationary period he or she shall not be eligible for tenure at that time, Step 3, B(BA+30) with Masters, $76,478, prorated.

Appointment: Part Time

 

  • Ms. Inge Jamison-Zamperlin, (.04) Teacher of Elementary Education to provide Academic Intervention Services, Douglas Grafflin Elementary School, effective October 25, 2017 through June 30, 2018 (or earlier at the discretion of the Board of Education), Step 1, A(BA), $54.62/hour.

Moved by Victoria Tipp, seconded by Jane Kimmel Shepardson to approve Item 1.1. Motion passed 3-0. Board members Jeffrey Mester and Alyson Gardner were not present.

Adjournment

Being no further business to be acted upon, the meeting was adjourned at 5:12 p.m. with a motion by Warren Messner, seconded by Victoria Tipp. Motion carried 3-0. Board members Jeffrey Mester and Alyson Gardner were not present.
