Cross Country Gr 9
All people who take cross country seriously run over the summer.
Summer Running (before the start of the season in August)
Goals for 9th graders -- Try to run 5 or 6 days a week.
First few weeks of summer: Run 10-15 miles per week.
Next few weeks of summer: Run 15-20 miles per week.
Three weeks before start of season: Run 20-25 miles per week. (NO NEED TO RUN MORE.)
Optional Informal Summer Running
Captains meet weekdays with any interested runners starting the end of June at the Rockefeller State Park Visitors Center (NOT Sleepy Hollow.) Freshmen are welcome! The Captains will reach out to all new runners, and even can help organize rides. There is no pressure to participate, but you are more than welcome.
